To use Liftkeeper you only need a browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. No software to install on your computer! Just set your homepage to YourCompany.Liftkeeper.com, log in and you are ready to go.
With the browser as your client program, you will have the option to work in multiple tabs or windows. Just think, you can edit a customer's information in one window, while in another you can have the service call monitor, and yet in another you can search for an elevator. That also means that everything you save, will be stored on the server, so you will never loose any data.The Liftkeeper server can be set up traditionally in your office or in your own data center. By using Liftkeeper over your private network, your information can be kept within your office walls. This method has some added hardware cost but provides for a more controlled and available system.
Liftkeeper and your database can also be housed in our secure data center, accessed by using the internet via encrypted protocol (SSL) or a virtual private network (VPN). Just like on-line shopping or on-line banking. This allows smaller companies to start using Liftkeeper within minutes after sign-up, requiring near zero initial investment in computer hardware and setup costs. This configuration provides the greatest flexibility, giving access to employees, mechanics and sales-reps working with laptops from home or on the road.
